The first image (when I uploaded the picture it was too big and wouldn't let me change the size)
- It's neat.
-It's to the point
- I like the pen

- Maybe it could have color other than black and white
- Make it a littler bigger

Enlgish composition classes about writing.
Paxton

The second image
Its easily understood, colorful, and I like the pencils.
Can't really see the font well
Easy to understand.
Composition classes are a lot of writing.
Liz

The second Image

2. I used Canva and Microsoft word when making my brand mark. I thought that Microsoft word was easier to use since I already knew how use it.

3. I thought that Canva was better quality because it had more graphics and it was easier to move the pictures and texts I wanted. When I was using Microsoft Word it was frustrating to use this because I couldn't place my pictures where I wanted.

4. The message that I'm trying to convey is to advertise the English Composition classes in a positive way.

5. I prefer the Canva version because I like the font and the pictures that I used. I feel that it makes it fun but I also want to make changes to make it better than before.

6. I would change the color of the triangle but I don't what color I would change it too.

1. Apple has been around for quite sometime. They make many devices other than cell phones. This company makes software, televisions, computers, laptops, music devices, and so much more. Steve Jobs named this company after one of his fruitarian diets he was on. He said the name sounded fun, spirited, and not  intimidating.

2. I feel that Apple was trying to use something that was very common but different. I believe they are trying to say that they make devices and but since an apple is usually seen in a school related place, that they are going to continue to learn and make more fun technology for the people of our world.

3. I feel that Apple did a well at picking  their brand mark because everyone in the world knows what the half eaten apple is referring to. I would say that this company is very successful in that aspect.

1. Vodafone is a brand mark from the UK and is basically another phone service just like apple but it isn't offered in the United States. The name Vodafone comes form a voice data fone and that is why it it is named Vodafone.

2. I feel that they were trying to use something that was different and would catch peoples eye. I think they were trying to make something that would make people curious and want to try out their product if they didn't already know what it was.

3. I feel that their brand mark could be improved because I have know idea what the the symbol is. It may be because I'm from the United States but I should still have some what of an idea of what it is.

4. I feel that Apple is well known than Vodafone because everyone knows what Apple is; its a popular brand throughout the world. I feel that Apple is nation wide where as Vodafone may only be used in the UK. If I were from that part of the world then maybe I would be more familiar with what this brand mark means but since I'm not, I'm obviously going to feel that the Apple product is more successful than Vodafone.

When my group and I were working on our poster, I thought that we worked well together. We connected together and decided what prompt to use, that we all agreed upon. I thought that while we were making our poster, we wanted something that would stand out to the campus and something that would relate to the students of McKendree. We took action and made a poster that was very well developed. I liked that when we were in class, that people would critique our poster to make it even better than it was. In chapter ten it talks about sequence and I feel that we used that in our poster with our bearcat paws. All in all, I feel that this poster project went really well and making the poster was frustrating at times because we didn't know how to you the certain poster websites; however, we worked together and made a poster that is now all over the campus to help market our Humanities Division.

Cartoon Assingment

                                                              Ad Hominem Fallacy

I found this image through google image and I picked this one because it was the one that I understood the most. I also picked this one because I thought it was hilarious. The Ad Hominem Fallacy attempts to discredit the speaker's argument by attacking the speaker's character. I thought this image did it's duty very well.

                                                       Begging the question fallacy

I found this cartoon on google as well. I picked this one because I hear this from  a lot of people and I found this cartoon to be pretty funny. Begging the question assumes the conclusion and incorporates it into a claim.

                                                       Genetic Fallacy

I chose this one because a lot of the Genetic fallacy cartoons I found were pretty inappropriate. This one wasn't as bad but I find it to be pretty hilarious. Genetic Fallacy is when one assumes that a person's origins determine his or her character.

Septermber 9, 2015 (assingment on chapter one)

Throughout chapter one, it discusses the meaning of what New Media actually is. One of the key points that stood out to me, was how even digital messages can be material based. As in, something you can hold physically. I have never though of that because usually I feel that all material on the internet is safe and that whenever I want to look at something, I know that it will always be there. So, the idea of actually having it to touch was a weird idea to think about. The new media writer has the whole world as their audience. That was very intimidating to think about because everyone can see your work. That really stood out to me because, whenever I'm writing or working on a project, I typically believe that my audience are my classmates and my teachers. Finally, another point that was brought to my attention in chapter one what the image of the dancer. It made my realized that I use my right hemisphere of my brain more than my left. It was neat that it didn't actually indicate that I use my right hemisphere more than my left side but it started to make me think and analyze if I actually do.

In the future, will new media take over traditional writing or will is stay the same as it is now?
